Jared Padalecki Teams Up With Jensen Ackles for ‘Always Keep Fighting’

Jared Padalecki has already run a successful Always Keep Fighting campaign. In March 2015, the actor set up a fundraising event on Represent to help support To Write Love on Her Arms, an organization dedicated to helping people with mental health issues. That campaign exceeded expectations and sold thousands of shirts over the original goal. Now, Padalecki is teaming up with his “Supernatural” costar, Jensen Ackles to run a second Always Keep Fighting fundraiser.

As with the first campaign, the reasoning behind the fundraising is clearly explained on the Represent page. This time, Padalecki and Ackles are hoping to support even more charities, and use this as a starting point to help support others down the line. The new Always Keep Fighting campaign is offering a number of products for sale with the proceeds from these sales going to a number of charities, such as To Write Love on Her Arms, The Down Syndrome Connection, St. Jude’s, Wounded Warriors and a number of others. Their hope is that they will be able to help countless organizations that support people.

In this new campaign, both Ackles and Padalecki appear on the fundraising gear, which ranges from t-shirts and tank tops, to tote bags and cell phone cases. The words, “Moose & Squirrel Say Always Keep Fighting,” appear under an image of a face. Half of the face is Padalecki, with the other half being Ackles. The Moose and Squirrel reference is one that fans of “Supernatural” will quickly pick up on, as these are the nicknames given to them by Crowley in the show. With a starting sales goal of 1000 items, Ackles and Padalecki, exceeded that goal within only a few hours.

Ackles and Padalecki are not only working on the Always Keep Fighting campaign, but they are also teaming up with their fellow “Supernatural” actor, Misha Collins, and his organization Random Acts. Collins organization got started in 2009 as a Tweet asking his fans, known as minions, to come up with a plan for a “minion stimulus project.” This original Tweet has morphed into a non-profit organization that is looking to make a difference in the world, with one random act of kindness at a time. Padalecki and Ackles are hoping that by teaming up with Collins’ organization, they will be able to increase their overall reach.

The overall goal with this new Always Keep Fighting campaign, is to use the teamwork they were able to kick start the first time, to accomplish even more things. As Padalecki and Ackles point out, working together actually makes things better. The two actors are completely honest and say that they want to make the world a better place.

With Ackles and Padalecki teaming up to bring Always Keep Fighting back into the spotlight, they may be able to get their wish. These actors want to continue the discussions that were started with the first campaign and give them an even bigger spotlight. They want to support even more charities and bring awareness to the struggles of mental health, addiction, depression, and even as they say those causes that they are not yet aware of.
