Bomb Threat on Turkish Airlines Flight

Bomb Threat on Turkish Airlines Flight

On Nov. 30, 2017, a Turkish Airlines flight carrying 107 passengers was forced to land in Khartoum due to a bomb threat.

The Boeing 737 was in flight from Nairobi heading to Cairo when a British passenger received a bomb threat in an email as the aircraft flew into Sudanese airspace, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.

The passenger is being questioned along with the pilot of the aircraft. The plane was isolated in a remote area, but Khartoum International Airport was not closed down while bomb experts scoured over the plane.

The investigation is ongoing. This is the only information available. Headliners Daily will provide updates as they become available.
