Comedian Katt Williams Arrested Again

Comedian Katt Williams Arrested Again

Comedian, Micah Sierra “Katt” Williams, has been arrested again. This is his second time behind bars in two weeks. In 2012, it seems trouble was the actor’s constant companion as he ended the year with a string of arrests. This year is beginning to reflect a part of the man his fans had hoped to forget. On Monday, February 29, 2016, Williams was arrested after police were called to a pool supply store, where they found the First Sunday actor lying on the ground outside as if he was expecting them. This time, however, the comedian was allegedly involved in the assault and kidnapping of one of his bodyguards.

Williams, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, began performing comedy in his hometown but honed his delivery style by performing his routine nationwide in clubs from Oakland to Oklahoma. It was not long before he became an established comic appearing on stages at The Comedy Club, The Improv, BET’s Comic View, the Hollywood Park Casino and The Icehouse. On December 3, 2012, after being arrested in Seattle, Washington, the actor announced the end of his stand-up comedy career. Ironically, just three days later, the comic announced he was coming out of retirement.

This has already been a crazy year for the embattled comedian who has been arrested twice and, just a week ago,  jumped at a Beanie Siegel concert in Philly. Reportedly, the Friday After Next actor made some sly comments directed at Philly native Kevin Hart before getting beat and robbed by a group of guys. Williams, when addressing the incident, said while speaking in the third person:

The word on the street is that after Beanie Sigel’s show…the reason Katt Williams is no longer doing comedy…Katt Williams got his a** whooped. Now, I ain’t gon’ say that all I took was W’s in that club, I ain’t sayin’ they didn’t land a few L’s on a ni**a. However, his ‘W’ is that the people involved in the brawl missed out on snagging $50,000 worth of earrings, a $75,000 Rolex and two chains from Williams.

The Philly incident occurred after the first arrest of Williams on February 29 in Gainesville, GA when a store employee told police that the Pimp Chronicles comic punched him during an argument. Law enforcement attempted to question Williams about the incident when he told them to ask his victim. An employee at the pool supply store told police that the comedian began arguing with the employee and threw a pair of goggles at him before going behind the counter to punch him. For his actions, the actor was arrested and charged with battery.

On Tuesday, March 8, Williams was arrested again. This time, according to the Hall County sheriff’s department, the Norbit actor was involved in the assault and kidnapping of Cory Dixon, one of his bodyguards after he refused to partake in criminal activity. Dixon was choked by one of the rapper’s associates and assaulted with a baseball bat, according to police. He is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and terroristic threats.

Following this incident, a search warrant was issued for deputies to examine the home of the comedian where they reportedly found several firearms and large quantities of marijuana inside. In addition to the previous charges, the Kattpacalypse stand-up comic will face drugs and weapons charges following resulting from the search.

It has been a busy year already for the comedian, however, none of it is funny. He has found himself in a host of trouble. Katt Williams was arrested following an altercation with a pool store clerk who allegedly called him the N-word, accused of holding five women at gunpoint and stealing their phones, jumped by a group of men at a Beanie Sigel concert and arrested again after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a former bodyguard.
